The average house price in Basingstoke and Deane reached £362,000 in February 2025, marking a 7.0% increase from the previous year, outpacing the South East average of 4.6%.

Notably, the average price paid by first-time buyers rose by 7.4% to £289,000, reflecting their significant presence in the market. For investors, Basingstoke presents a compelling proposition, with the average monthly private rent increasing by 7.8% to £1,255 in March 2025, surpassing the South East average of 7.0%.
